Jun. 14, 2011 – Tomorrow the world gets to experience the longest lunar eclipse in 11 years. However, your ability to actually watch it first-hand depends on where you are.
Luckily, due to modern technology and a few helpful people in areas of the world where the eclipse will be clearest, you&8217;ll be able to watch it from the comfort of your own home via the Internet.
The Sky Watchers Association of North Bengal (SWAN) in India will be doing a live webcast of the event which starts at 20:12:36 UT, which is 15:12:36 EST. So if you are in the US it makes for a relatively easy watch in the mid-afternoon if you are near a PC with an Internet connection.
The event is sure to be memorable due to the fact it will last for about 1 hour and 40 minutes giving everyone ample time to appreciate what is happening.
